Step 1.Lead in
Show the students six pictures , ask the students like this “What’s this ”Then the students say them beef noodles , Beijing Duck , spring rolls , rice dumplings , dumplings and steamed buns. so, the teacher lead in the title of lesson 11.

Teach the students some new words according to pictures ,and give some examples: go online ,Beijing Duck , treasure , product , worth ,end ,especially .

Listen to the tape ,and then write true (T)or false(F).

Read the lesson and fill in the blanks . Ask the students read the text loudly ,and then fill in them , and discuss with their partners ,in the end ,let’s check them .

1.It takes a lot of work, but the end product is worth it.它花费很多工作,但成品很值得。在此结构中,it为形式主语,真正的主语是后面的动词不定式 to do sth.
1)take,花费,主语为物,常用于句型it takes sb. some time to do sth.,做某事花费某人多少时间。
It takes me an hour to finish the work.
它花费我一小时完成这项工作。
2) be worth +名词,表示“值得……”
It is worth 100 yuan.
它值100元。
be worth doing sth.,值得做某事
The book is worth reading.
这本书值得读。

look, taste均为系动词,后面跟形容词作表语。类似的还有:feel,觉得;smell,闻起来;sound,听起来;become,变得

After finishing lesson 11 , we learnt about Jenny’s favorite food were Beijing Duck and Lanzhou noodles .Now I want to ask you to do some pair work , we can relax ourselves.

Ask the students to open the book , and find the phrases in the text ,and let them say them one by one , then read them together .
