本课选自冀教版英语七年级下册第三单元第四课。本单元围绕学生的学校生活这一话题展开教学的,要求学生能够介绍自己的学校生活,会表达关爱。本课主要介绍的是团结互助的募捐活动,要求学生从中学会帮助他人和关心他人。由于内容和我们的生活息息相关,学生容易接受,并能积极主动地探究学习。更重要的是,本课的内容启发性强,能使学生在学中用,用中学,在培养学生阅读能力的同时,让学生真正的体会到了“We Are With You”的涵义。
The analysis of the students
通过以前的学习,学生已经具备了一些英语基本知识技能,为本课的学习做下铺垫。此外,初一学生具有一定的自我约束力,能够积极参加到课堂教学活动中来。通过讲解,创设情境,体验式学习以及学生间的合作学习,可以降低他们的学习难度,使各层次的学生都有所收获,使他们体验到成功的喜悦。

Teaching procedures.
Step1. Greeting Greet each other in English.
设计意图:师生之间相互问候,训练学生日常交际口语,同时让学生轻松的进入学习英语的环境。
Step2.Lead-in
Let the students look at pictures and answer the questions below
1)How is our life, smooth or rough
2)Are you afraid of these terrible things when you meet an earthquake, a big flood and a big fire
设计意图:通过展示一些图片,有人生中令人吃惊,令人失望,悲喜图片,告诉学生什么是生活。然后再现人生道路平坦或曲折图片以及遇到地震,洪水,大火等图片,告诉大家遇到这些糟糕可怕的不幸之事,别怕,因为We Are With You!导入新课,让学生初步认识我们和你在一起的含义。
Step3.Learning new words
1.Let the students read new words after the teacher.
2.Give the students several minutes to read and remember all new words.
3.Ask the students to make sentences according to Chinese.
设计意图:
学习并且巩固新单词,为轻松阅读课文打下基础。
Step4. Reading
1.Ask the students to read the text paragraph by paragraph and find out all the phrases on the screen in their books. (group work)
2.Check their answers one by one.
3.Ask the students to scan the text paragraph by paragraph and find the answers to the questions on the screen. (group work)
4.Choose several volunteers to present their answers.
5.Let the students read the text again and finish the mind map.(group work)
设计意图:指导学生阅读技巧,更进一步掌握文章大意,提高学生阅读能力.
