教学设计
Reading: TANGO
Teaching goals:
Talk about the tango, and help the students to know the development of the tango.
Learn something about the tango, and enable them to understand why it became so popular around the world, and let them know that dancing is the best way to show emotion, and that What is national is international.
Try to improve the students’ reading abilities by grasping the main idea of each paragraph as well as getting some detailed information. And learn and use some useful words and expressions.
Get the students to create another common language by following the example of the tango.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1. Warming up
1. Greetings
Say hello to the students and ask the following questions one by one:
Chinese kongfu is the symbol of China, which is popular around the world.
Could you tell me what the symbol of Argentina is? (the tango)
2. Enjoy dancing(Tango)探戈 (闻香识女人)
What do you think of the dance? (the tango is passionate and stylish.)
Do you enjoy the dance?
Do you know much about the tango?

Secondly, divide the whole class into two groups and hold a competition to see which group can retell the evolvement of the tango by using the new vocabulary..
