这组对话用来询问及回答某人身高。问句中how tall 是对某人的身高进行提问,意思为“多高”。答语中的centimetres意思为“厘米”,centimetre 的缩略形式为cm,使用时要注意centimetre的单复数变化。
句型结构: How tall + be动词+主语
回答:主语+ be动词+数字+长度单位( + tall).

【拓展】how old对某人的年龄进行提问,意思为“多大”。
how much对不可数名词的数量或某物的价钱进行提问,意思为“多少;多少钱”。
How many对可数名词的数量进行提问,意思为“多少”。
How heavy对某人或某物的重量进行提问,意思为“多重”。how long对某物的长度进行提问,意思为“多长”。

taller为形容词tall的比较级,形容词变比较级一般在词尾加-er,表示一个事物比另一个怎么样。
e.g. He is much taller than my sister.

【拓展】形容词变比较级的规则:
(1)一般在形容词词尾加-er。
e.g. short- shorter small-smaller
(2)只有一个元音字母,其末尾为一个辅音字母的形容词,在变比较级时,这个辅音字母要双写,然后再加-er。
e.g. big-bigger thin- thinner
(3)以-e结尾的形容词,只需在原级形式后加-r。
e.g. large-larger nice -nicer

【拓展】形容词变比较级的规则:
(4)以辅音字母加-y结尾的形容词,变比较级时,y要变成i,末尾再加-er。
e.g. easy-easier heavy –heavier
(5)少数形容词的比较级是不规则的,必须熟记。
e.g. good-better bad- worse

这是含有实义动词的一般现在时态的陈述句。其中usually意思为“通常”,为一般现在时态的表示频率的副词,此类副词还有:sometimes(有时)、often(经常) .always(总是)。
句型结构:主语+频率副词(usually/ sometimes/often) +动词原形/第三人称单数形式+其他.
e.g. He usually goes to the park on Sundays.
