Unit 3 What's your favourite sport
Step 1 Lead in
Mime playing basketball. Ask what they think your favourite sports is. Say“I like basketball” a few times and have them repeat after you.
Step 2 Vocabulary study
1.Show some pictures about sports by PPT.
2.Ask the students the question “What's your favourite sport?”
3.Teach the new words about sports.
4.Read the new words.
Step 3 Listening and numbering
1.Ask the students to look at the pictures in Activity 2.
2.Play the recording of Activity 2 and ask the students to listen and number the pictures.
3.Check the answers with the whole class.
Step 4 Listening and reading
1.Ask the students to look at the pictures in Activity 3 and talk about the pictures.
2.Ask the students to read the conversation silently.
3.Play the recording and ask the students to listen and read after it.
4.Let the students read the conversation together.
5.Ask the students to read the dialogue in pairs and choose two pairs to role play the dialogue in front of the class.
Step 5 Reading and numbering
1.Ask the students to read the sentences in Activity 4.
2.Number the sentences[1-5].
3.Play the recording and ask the students to check their answers.
4.Check the answers with the whole class.
Step 6 Writing
1.Read the words in the box in Activity 5.
2.Complete the table.
3.Check the answers with the whole class.

2.Play an English song Days of the week to lead in the new lesson.

Step 2 Vocabulary study
1.Show the new words(day, today, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, birthday, favourite) by PPT.
2.Make a dialogue in pairs like this:
—What day is it today
—It's Monday/Tuesday…
Step 3 Listening and reading
1.Play the recording of Activity 1 and ask the students to listen.
2.Ask the students to read the conversation in Activity 1 silently.
3.Play the recording again and ask the students to read after it.
Step 4 Listening and repeating
1.Ask the students to look through the table in Activity 2.
2.Play the recording and ask the students to listen and repeat.
3.Tell the students to work in pairs and practise the sentence structure“—What day is it?—It's…”
Step 5 Reading and matching
1.Ask the students to look through the sentences in Activity 3.
2.Match the sentences in the left column with the sentences in the right column.
3.Check the answers with the whole class.
Step 6 Listening and writing
1.Play the recording of Activity 5. Let the students listen and write the words.
2.Play the recording again and ask the students to check their answers.
3.Check the answers with the whole class.
Step 7 Writing
1.Ask the students to read through the sentences in Activity 6.
2.Complete the blanks.
3.Play the recording and ask the students to check their answers.

Unit 1 What day is it today
导入一 对话导入
T: How many days are there in a week
Ss: There are seven days in a week.
T: What are they
Ss: They are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
导入二 歌曲导入
播放英文歌曲来活跃气氛,激发学生的学习兴趣。
活动一 单词学习
1.“萝卜蹲”游戏:选七名学生分别戴上标有Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday的头饰做游戏。游戏可从头戴任意星期名称的同学开始。示例:头戴Monday头饰的同学边蹲边说“Monday蹲,Monday蹲,Monday蹲完Tuesday蹲”。头戴Tuesday头饰的同学紧接着做相同的动作,并且边做边说“Tuesday蹲,Tuesday蹲,Tuesday蹲完……蹲”。如果下一位同学没有反应过来,则被淘汰。坚持到最后的同学为获胜者。
2.游戏结束后,教师指着“Friday”问“What day is it today?”,引导学生回答“It's Friday./Friday.”
3.教师板书主题句型:
—What day is it today
—It's Friday.
4.教师拿出六张分别标有what, day, is, it, today, Friday的卡片,请六名学生各持一卡,其他同学齐喊“One, two, three.”,六名学生手持词卡站成一排,将手中的词卡组成主题句。若有学生站错位置,请其他学生纠正。若全部站对位置,大家齐读主题句。
5.利用PPT课件展示一张日历表,教师请一名同学任意指一日期,问“What day is it today?”,其它同学回答出相应星期。
活动二 星期接龙
Today is Monday.
Tomorrow is Tuesday.
Today is Tuesday.
Tomorrow is Wednesday.
Today is Wednesday.

教师通过PPT展示歌词,并逐句读给学生听,然后让学生齐读。

活动一 认识天气符号,学习新单词
看天气符号,练习warm, hot, cool, cold这几个单词并进行问答练习。

活动二 教材Activity 6
结合Activity 6的地图,练习句型“What's the weather like in…in…?”和“It's…”。
让学生在地图上找到Harbin, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Urumqi, Haikou和Lhasa, 并就这些地方的天气情况进行问答练习。
A: What's the weather like in Harbin in winter
B: It is cold.
活动三 小组活动
学生两人一组活动,将城市名称卡片和天气卡片正面朝下分别放在桌子上。学生A拿起写有城市名称的卡片,如“Kunming”,说:“It's Kunming.” 学生 B 拿起一张描述天气状况的卡片,如“cold”,说:“It's cold.” 学生A 说“It's cold in Kunming.”学生 B可根据实际情况判断学生A播报的天气情况是否正确,若不正确,则改正。Starter Module 4 My everyday life

Step 1 Lead in
1.Show some pictures of different seasons and ask the students to point out the seasons which the pictures represent.
2.Show some weather signs and ask the students to guess the meaning of each sign.
Step 2 Listening and repeating
1.Ask the students to read the words in Activity 1 silently.
2.Play the recording and ask the students to listen and repeat after it.
Step 3 Vocabulary study
1.Show some pictures about seasons by PPT.
2.Ask the students to choose right words in Activity 1 to describe each picture.
Step 4 Listening and matching
1.Ask the students to look at the pictures and read the sentences in Activity 2 silently.
2.Play the recording and ask the students to match the pictures with the sentences.
3.Check the answers with the whole class.
Step 5 Listening and pointing
1.Ask the students to look at the pictures in Activity 3.
2.Ask and answer like this:
(1) —What's the weather like in spring?—It's warm.
(2) —What's the weather like in winter?—It's cold.
(3) —What's the weather like in autumn?—It's cool.
(4)—What's the weather like in summer?—It's hot.
3.Play the recording and ask the students to point out the pictures.
Step 6 Writing
1.Play the recording in Activity 5 and let the students fill in the blanks.
2.Play the recording again and check the answers..
Step 7 Working in pairs
1.Look at the map of China in Activity 6 and practise the sentence structure“What's the weather like in…in…?”
2.Ask the students to choose different cities to ask and answer questions about the weather.

Unit 3 What's your favourite sport
导入一 单词导入
教师问学生“What's your favourite season?”,学生可能不知道“season”这个单词,那么教师及时给出“sping”, “summer”, “autumn”,“winter” 这4个单词,学生就能够听懂教师的问题了。学生回答完问题后,教师可以告诉学生“My favourite season is summer.I like swimming in summer.”这时教师呈现出“swimming”的图片并配以单词,引出本节课的内容。
导入二 对话导入
T: How many seasons are there in a year
S1: There are four.
T: What are they
S1: Spring, summer, autumn and winter.
T: What's your favourite season
S1: Summer.
T: What sport do you often do in summer
S1: I often go swimming.
导入三 歌曲导入
Football, football, let's play football.
Basketball, basketball, let's play basketball.
Ping pong, ping pong, let's play ping pong.
Swimming, swimming, let's go swimming.
