Why did the burglar, Vincenzo Perugia wait so long Perugia had stole the Mona Lisa on behalf of the chief organiser of the crime, Eduardo de Valfierno. But Perugia make a fundamental mistake. He trusted de Valfierno to pay his for the painting. The drawback in Perugia was that de Valfierno didn’t in fact need the painting, only was the news of the theft. De Valfierno made six superb copy and sold them, claim that each one was the authentic stolen painting. Of course, the fact what there were six substitutes was confidentially. The six buyers didn't know about other paintings. What's more, de Valfierno didn’t need to pay his debt to Perugia.
