Culture focus In the US, Ss that live near schools will often walk or ride bikes to get to school. A crossing guard often patrols the roads near the schools to help Ss safely cross the roads. For Ss that live further away, school buses might be provided. In the US, school buses are bright yellow so they can be seen easily! Some Ss will also be driven to school by their parents, as many families in the US have cars.

Warming-up T says "hello" to Ss. Today we are going to learn Unit 3 How do you get to school Before the new lesson, I want you to watch a short video. All of Ss watch the video carefully.
Leading-in After watching the video, T asks Ss a question: How many transportations can you see in the video (T writes the words on the whiteboard.)All of these words, we can them transportations, and when we get to school, we may use the different transportations to get to school. Ss answer the question individually.(individual work)
New lessonStep 1 1. T shows the teaching aims to Ss. Ask Ss to read the teaching aims after T or read them by themselves.2. T shows some pictures about transportations and asks Ss to make phrases about the pictures. Then read the phrases in three times. 3. T chooses four groups and asks a question: How do you get to school Ss answer this question one by one.4.T asks other four groups Ss to play a memory game:A: I take the bus to school.B: I take the car to school. A takes the bus to school.C: I ride a bike to school. A takes the bus to school. B takes the car to school.D. ...... 1. Step 2 1a After talking about how we get to school, there are some Ss in the picture, let's see how they get to school.1.
