【预习检查】
Ask the students to read the following words aloud:
instruction, had better, tool, brush, glue, rope, scissors, tape, DIY, exactly, stand for, repair, decorate, instead of,
rose
【目标展示】
1. Learn the new words, important phrases and patterns by heart.
2. To get a general idea of DIY.
3. Sentence patterns: Here is /are ….
4. To get familiar to some common tools when doing DIY.
【新知研习】
研习1: Ask some students to listen to the recording of “Comic strips”. Then answer the following questions:
研习2: Read aloud the dialogue, then act it out.
研习3: Books open at Page 43. Get to know the names of the tools and what they are used for.
研习4: Listen to the recording of the dialogue in Part B, on Page 43, try to answer some questions.
研习5: Get the students to read it loudly, then try to make up their own dialogues.
