Ⅰ.阅读理解
A student had to get his long hair cut off in a middle school in Guangdong Province. It was talked a lot among teachers and students.
In fact, all schools have their own rules. In most schools, boy students are not allowed to have long hair while girls are not allowed to dye their hair. And most school rules say that students should wear their school uniforms at school. And students must obey these rules so that they can get healthy development at school.
But some students have disagreements. They think that boy students having long hair doesn't mean that they are not good students. They want to show their own personality. They think that they would look cool too, if they had long hair and the hairstyles like their favorite stars.
A girl student thought that she would look much more beautiful if she had brown hair.So she had her dark hair dyed brown one day. When she went back to school the next day, the teacher was very angry with her.She said that she worked hard at her lessons and did well in every subject. She just didn't know why the teacher didn't allow her to dye her hair while women teachers can.
It is not wrong for teenagers to love stars' hairstyles or wear their favorite clothes. However, a school has its own rules for all the students to obey so that the school can be in good order.Students should not break the rules at school.

Physical education, or gym class, isn't required for all high school students. In some schools, it isn't offered for some different reasons. But should high school students have physical education The answer is certainly “yes”.
Today many people don't do sports. But as is known to all, doing sports is very important for an adult. Teaching teens the importance of a healthy lifestyle and making fitness plans now can help teens put exercise in the first place as an adult.
High school isn't that easy. Many students are under a lot of stress. Stress can be harmful to a student's study and life. Doing sports can help them deal with stress better, helping them live a happier life at school.
The American Heart Association says that 10 million kids and teens suffer from obesity (肥胖症). Teens should get 60 minutes of physical activity per day to control their weight and to help their bones get stronger. The increase in activities that don't get teens to move around, such as video games and computer activities, means many teens don't get their required exercise. Physical education classes act as a public health measure to encourage activity and help teens have healthy weights.
Inactivity increases teens' risk of developing many diseases. An active lifestyle offers a good way of protection from these health problems. As much as 75 percent of health-care spending goes toward treating medical conditions that can be hindered by lifestyle changes, according to the American College of Sports Medicine.
According to the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition (PCFSN), students who performed five hours of physical activity each week improved their academic (学业的) performance. Robert and Henry were two friends in the same class. They always played together and went home together. One day,Robert and Henry were going home from school, when, on turning a corner, Robert cried out,“A fight! Let's go and see!”
“No,”said Henry.“Let's go quietly home and not meddle (插手)with this quarrel. We have nothing to do with it and may get into trouble. Also our parents are expecting to have dinner with us together at home and I don't want them to worry about me.”
“You are a coward(懦夫),and afraid to go,”said Robert, and off he ran. Henry went straight home, and in the afternoon went to school as usual.
But Robert had told all the boys that Henry was a coward, and they laughed at him a great deal. From then on, they looked down upon Henry and didn't want to play with him together.
Henry was sad but he wasn't angry with Robert for his rude behavior, because he knew that they misunderstood him, and that he ought to be afraid of nothing but doing wrong. Thus, he just ignored (忽略) the other boys' laughter and continued to go to school and study as well. However, Robert didn't invite him to go home with him any more. Instead,he had some other boys who also thought Henry was a coward. Every day after school, they didn't go home directly but went to the river or somewhere to play games and had a lot of fun.
A few days later,Robert was bathing with his new friends in a river, and got out of his depth. He struggled and cried for help, but he failed. The boys who had called Henry a coward got out of the water as fast as they could, but they did nothing to help him.

Ⅰ.阅读理解
A
When I was six or seven, I could not understand the units. My parents got me a teacher, Jacky Ralfs, to give me private lessons.
He started off trying the classic way of two plus two, but instead of shaking his head when I did not understand, he would try a different method. I remember him drawing little bags containing apples with three in one and four in another to explain. I understood when the sum was shown in practical terms.
The other thing that impressed me was that Jacky was exciting and fun. I don't think teachers realize what an influence they have on children by their own personality. He dressed as he thought a teacher should look if he had been playing the part on stage. He was good company. As well as me in maths. I remembered him reading me books. The most important thing Jacky taught me was dogged determination. We had a swing ball in the garden and I was not very good at hitting the thing, but he encouraged me to keep on trying over and over again until I got the hang of it.
In my last year at school, I decided I had better do some work. I had long since been banned (禁止) from the Afrikaans (one of the official languages of South Africa) class, but found I could not get my matric (大学入学许可) without passing Afrikaans and the other subjects I studied. Without Afrikaans, all the effort I put into everything else would have been nothing. I remember Jacky saying you will be surprised at what happens if you just keep going. So I told myself in the school library. The school was run by nuns, so we are not allowed any books for girls to read, but there were magazines about farming in the library and they had good stories in them. I learned Afrikaans from reading stories about the farmer's boy.
We lost touch, but all through my career I have kept a photograph of him to remind me of his wise advice.

School is, waking up early in the morning, whether it is hot or cold, putting on school uniform and rushing to the bus stop to catch the school bus and getting used to the words “Hurry up! You will be late! ” You reach school and again the same words “Hurry up! ” do not let you rest in peace.
Throughout the day, it is a mad rush. One period gets over, the other starts and you are ready for the second subject. When you forget to do your homework, you try to sit at the back and pretend to be looking for something on the floor or in your bag. You are lucky if you are not seen and it is bad luck if you get caught. If you are not lucky, be ready for a good scolding during break or after school. If you are lucky and your teacher is in a good mood, you may be left with a warning.
However, school is not so dull all the time; the games, library period and breaks are welcome time when you can relax, joke and have fun with your friends. There are some teachers, too, who can make school very exciting. For example, Mr Taneja, has a typical style of talking, making us always hooked on the playground.
School can be fun, real fun, when picnics and field trips are organized. We wait for them eagerly and keep on requesting our class teacher to organize one for us. Debates, quizzes, cultural programmes also add luster to an otherwise dull school life. Fun increases after real hard work and you tend to enjoy more than those who have been lazy and have wasted their time. I think this period of your life is the most wonderful period — full of dreams and hope.

A.Physics. B.Language.
C.Chemistry. D.Physical Education.
解析:选D 推理判断题。根据第三段最后一句可知, Mr Taneja 很可能是一位体育老师, 故选D。
