Ⅰ. Teaching objectives:
1. knowledge objectives:
(1) Enable students to know the new words like tigers, cute, lazy…
(2) Let students master the sentence pattern:

―Yes, I do./No I don’t.

2. Ability objectives:
(1) Improve students’ reading ability.
(2) Help students to improve their speaking abilities.

Let students learn to protect animals and find the joy in English.

Help students master the key words and some sentence patterns.
Let students know how to talk about different animals fluently.

PPT, multi-media, video, printed pictures.
Ⅳ.Teaching procedures:
Step1. Lead in
Play a short video of the movie kung fu panda. Then ask students:〝Do you know the movie ”
〝Do you like the pandas Why ”
Then invite students to answer my questions.
Step2.Presentation
1. Show the pictures of these animals on ppt.
2. Teach them the new words of the animals according to these different pictures.
3. Ask them: Do you like these animals, why
4. Activity 1a
Let us go back the book and look at the picture.
T: can you see the picture What is that in picture a?
Then check the answer in this way.
Step3.Listening and practice
1. Listen to the sound of the animals. Then let students guess what are these animals . And practice the conversation according to the hints.
2. Listen to 1b
(1) Let us listen and check the animals you hear in 1b.
(2) Listen again and check the answer together.
Step4. Pair work
1. Ask students to practice the conversations on book. And invite some of them to perform.
2. Invite students to make conversations according to the printed pictures.
I show the pictures to them. They have a conversation.

3. Ask students to describe their classmates with description words that we have learned. They can use the sentence patterns:

Ⅴ.Summary
Show the picture of some wounded animals and ask them to be kind to animals. Then tell them to protect animals.
