Step 1 Introduction and lead-in
1. Introduce myself and show some pictures, then have a guess: Where is my hometown
2. Talk about two questions, and learn some new words:

2). What are the problems of big cities
3. Tell them Jo also needs their help and ask: Who is Jo？What’s her problem
Step 2 While-reading
1. Read the passage and match the headings with the paragraphs. Give them two tips:
1).Find the key words and pay attention to verbs and nouns.
2).Find the same words according to the key words.
2. Read paragraph 1 and fill the table.
3. Read paragraph 2 and compare in the past and now, then answer questions
