在某些动词后面加上后缀的方法有很多。
1. 加“-er ”表示“人”，这类词多数情况下表示的人在社会中处于较低地位或是普通人事。

2. 加“–or ”表示“人”，一般在加以t结尾的动词后，这类词多数情况下表示的人在社会中处于较高地位或是管理和支配别人。
如：doctor 博士、医生
3.加“-ist”表示“人”，这类词多数情况下表示事业有成或较为特殊的人，常可译作“。。。家”。
如：art science
