教材分析
本模块在Module 4的基础上继续foods的主题。Module 4中介绍了许多饮料和食物，同时对不同地区的饮食习惯做了简单的介绍，为Module 5做了很好的语言和知识铺垫。Module 5继续讲述foods的主题，更加注重对食物特点和对不同地区的饮食文化进行描述。本课时是Unit9的第一课时，话题创设为Welcome to Delicious Food Festival!的情境，内容主要是学习描述食物特点的形容词和品评食物时所用的感官动词。以及对食物特点进行简单的问答。

学情分析
在Module 4中学生已经学习了许多有关食物的单词和询问吃什么食物的基本问答句型，学生有了足够的语言知识积累，为本模块的学习做了很好的铺垫。因此，本课时学习描述食物特征的形容词，学生学起来难度并不大；同时，对于初次系统地接触感官动词，学生需要认真学习。

教学目标
1. 知识目标
1）能听、说、认读以下单词：smell, taste, delicious，fresh，hot, healthy，sweet，salty。
2）初步感知感官动词:look, smell和taste的用法。
3）能用句型“What do you think of ... ” “They/It are(is)/ look(s)/smell(s)/taste(s) ”对食物进行问答。
2 技能目标
1）能用所学知识正确描述食物的特点。
2）能对食物的主题进行简单的问答。
3 情感目标
对健康饮食有一定的认识
4. 学习策略
1）创设学生喜欢的美食节的情境，引导学生认识并能正确描述不同食物的特点。
