Step1: Warming up & Free talk1. Sing a song: I like2. Free talk: 3. Lead in the topic 1.Sing the song together.2.Ss talk about the drinks they want.3.Prepare for the new lesson. To cheer and warm up then lead in the topic.
Step2: Pre-taskLet’s review: the drinksPlay a game: Catch the running drinks.Look and sayLet’s chantGuess the drinksLearn the new words: something, cold, hot, sure.Learn the sentences:(1)-Do you want …or… -I want…(2) -What do you want to drink... -I think I will have…/ I want a…of… / I want some… 1.Ss try to say out the words of “drinks” .2. Play a game3.Look at the picture and say out the drinks with “a…of…”4.Chant together5.Play a guessing game6.Learn some new words.7.Ss learn the new sentence “Do you want…or… ” “What do you want to drink… ” and the answer. Review the words learnt in the previous periods and get Ss involve the class actively.To arouse their interest in learning English.To improve Ss’ ability to read the new words on their own.To offer more chances for the children to speak English.
Step3: While-taskIntroduce the background: Put forward some questions: Listen and find out what drinks do they want to drinkListen again and figure out the price of the drinks.Look , listen and judge “T” or “F”( )1. Create an atmosphere of speaking English and communicating with others.Help Ss to show themselves bravely.

Help Ss consolidate the knowledge they’ve learnt in this lesson.
