1:Learn the new words and expressions in this period.
2:Do some listening practice.
3:Let students work in pairs and play games to learn the cooperative learning.

Let students know it’s polite to refuse one’s invitation if you can’t go.

教学过程:
Step 1 Warm-up
T: This is my new car. (Show a picture of a car) Do you like it? Do you want to go for a drive with me? When do you want to go? I will give you some choices about the time. (PPT)
(热身引入时间状语)
T:During the weekdays, we are all busy. So let’s go on weekends. What do you usually do on weekends? (学生回答)Tell me ten activities you usually do as soon as you can.(脑风暴,PPT出示有关动作的图片,复习动词短语。)
Step 2 Presentation
T: Let’s look at 1a and match. (学习新的动词短语,让学生学会根据图片猜测prepare for an exam 和 have the flu 的含义。)
Check and repeat them.
Look at the pictures and tell me them in English.(PPT出示图片,短语输入练习,为后面的语言交际作准备)
Play a game. (PPT出示大转盘,巩固动词短语,调动学生学习热情)
The one who dose well sing the song“two tigers”. Then the whole class sing a “can” song .
T: Can you help me? Can you...? Can you come to my party on Saturday afternoon? (师生问答,由歌词引入到目标语言)
Present sentence patterns and practice.
(在问答中使学生学会邀请,接受,拒绝及表达原因。)
Step 3 Practice

T: Can you play basketball with me this afternoon? Can you...?

Step 4 Game
Suppose a student is having a birthday party. Let him invite others to his party. They must take cards from a box. If it is a happy face, he will be still. If it is an unhappy face, he will go back. Till there is only one left, it’s the winner.
Step 5 Consolidation
