Part One: Analysis of the students
The students of Grade seven are very energetic. They are very interested in spoken English, especially taking part in some interesting activities. They would like to express their ideas. Before this unit, they have learned the vocabularies of clothing and month. I’m sure it’s easy for them to learn this unit well.
Part Two: Analysis of the teaching materials
This unit mainly talk about school subjects and will be divided into five periods. This is the first period of this unit. It will learn to talk about the students` favorite subjects and the reasons. It will focus on the names of subjects and the usage of the special questions contain what,why.

Part Four: Teaching reflection
通过本课时的学习,学生应该能够就喜欢的事物进行简单的回答,能够询问并陈述喜欢某事物的原因,通过小组之间互相询问,可以增进同学们之间的相互了解和友情,培养学生热爱学习,均衡发展和良好的学习、生活习惯。favorite, subject, science, geography等单词章节较多,发音较难需要引导学生反复练习。在学生报告本组成员的喜好时,要求其余学生带着问题倾听,避免课堂纪律的混乱。课后布置学生设计的课程表,引导学生活学活用,体会英语学习就在我们身边,激发学生学习英语的兴趣。
