1.In China, you’re not supposed to stick your chopsticks into the food.
stick /st k/ v. 粘贴;将……刺入
e.g. The glue doesn’t stick very well. 这种胶水粘不住。
Her younger sister helped her stick a flower in her hair. 她妹妹帮她把一朵花插在头发上。
stick to 意为“坚持”,后接名词或代词作宾语。
我们的父母总是鼓励我们要坚持梦想。
Our parents always encourage us to stick to our dreams.
2.In China, it’s impolite to use your chopsticks to hit an empty bowl.
作形容词,意为“空的;空洞的;空虚的;空腹的”。
如:His room is empty. His wordy and empty speech was a frost.
e.g. This is an empty glass. 这是一个空玻璃杯。
The box is empty. 这个箱子是空的。
The cinema was half empty because the movie was so boring.
作动词,意为“倒空;变空”。
如:They emptied the biscuits onto the plate.
He tilted the barrel so as to empty it.

如:Empty the dirty water into bowl.

如:Many rivers in Asia empty itself into the Pacific.
3.point at anyone with your chopsticks.
point at 指着
e.g. Don’t point at me with your finger. 不要用你的手指指着我。
辨析:point at, point to 与 point out
point at习惯上指离说话人较近的事物,着重于指的对象。
point to多用来指离说话人较远的事物,着重于所指的方向。在事物名词作主语时,多用 point to 。
point out意为“指出”,表示给某人指出方向、要点或错误等,属于“动副”结构的短语,虽可跟宾语,但若宾语是代词,须放在 point 和 out 之间。
eg. Our teacher is pointing at the map on the wall.
我们的老师正指着墙上的地图。
The hour hand of the clock points to six.
时钟的时针指向六。

五、阅读理解
There are different customs in different places. It's very important for you to know about the customs when traveling abroad. Here are some things you cannot do when visiting another country.
  In Japan, don't tip(给小费) anyone. Tipping is just not part of the culture. Don't even leave the small change. People will come running after you with it if you do. Also, don't go into people's homes with your shoes on. You may run into this at certain temples, restaurants or traditional hotels, too. If you see other people taking their shoes off, do the same. Stay on the correct side on escalators. In Tokyo you stand on the left. In Osaka you stand on the right. Follow what other people are doing.
  In some public places in India, kissing is not allowed.If you break the law(法律), you will be put into prison(监狱). If the couple is married, they won't be punished seriously. If the couple is unmarried, they will get into big trouble. Also, wearing shorts or skirts is not allowed in places of worship(礼拜). Dresses that show anything about the ankle(踝) is generally impolite in most places of worship.
  There is one thing that you mustn't do in Germany: Do the Nazi salute(纳粹礼). Don't do that even in jest(开玩笑地). It's a crime and every year many tourists are punished for it. Also don't carry any Nazi symbols.
