They had to go on business for several days last month. It was my chance! As soon as I got home the first
day,Ienjoyed an exciting film and played computer games until midnight.
The next morning, I woke up late and was late for school. The teacher asked me for my homework, but
I could not hand it in.I felt tired and sleepy. When Igot home, I tried to cook food, but I burnt it. I felt
lonely and wanted Mum and Dad to come home soon.I realized being home alone was not always perfect.

Community service is important. We can build kindness and understanding through volunteering in the
community.
As a primary student, I used to volunteer for an animal protection group. I was not so interested because I
didn't know many people there. However, as I got to know the animals and workmates, I found myself quite
delighted there.
Sometimes community service is also required by our school. During my middle school years, my teacher often talked about community service. Also, our school organized some community service activities, such as donating books to children in poor areas and volunteering in some primary schools. I think they are great.
In general, I think I will always devote myself to community service not only because we can bring joy to
people in need, but also because it's something we can enjoy with our friends or classmates. I hope you can
help in your community and make a difference.

三、 听后记录并转述第 一节听后记录信息(共5小题;每小题1分,共5分)
Hello, everyone. I'm Mike.I have been living in Paris for over four months and I would like to share my
advice on living in a foreign country happily.
First, fit in with the culture and the people. It is very easy to go to work and just come straight home, but this will lead to periods of loneliness. The best thing to do is to go out and meet people in cafes or bars. A friend
made abroad may be a friend for life.
Second, get into clubs that help you meet people.I joined a music club in Paris and as a result I now have a
place to practice my piano. Joining a music club is a wonderful choice for music fans and if you enjoy
exercise, joining a sports club is also a good idea.
Third, speak the language. Even if you can't speak the local language well, at least make the effort to try and
improve your language. This helps you become more fluent and more people will want to talk to you if they
know you have something to say. Just remember, talk to the native speakers as much as possible.
The last one is to travel. You can enjoy your time when you are travelling around the country. Most
importantly, you will collect sweet memories that allow you to tell others about your experiences.
These are four things that allowed me to happily live in a totally foreign culture. Good luck and you'll have a
wonderful experience!
【 参考答案 】
1.culture
2. fans
3.improve
4.Travel
