Section A (1a-1c) 七年级下册
1、 Teaching aims 教学目标
1. Knowledge goals(语言知识目标):
1) Learn new words about transportation: train, bus, subway, boat, bike, car, ship, plane.
2) Can talk about how to get to places by using
“How do you get to …?”
2. Ability goals(语言技能目标):
Train the ability of grasping key words in listening ,and be able to write down the first letter or the first two of a word to take notes while listening
3. Moral goals(情感态度价值观目标):
Advocate green travel and let students know that walking or riding a bike is also good exercise.

1. The new words about transportation.
2. The verb phrases like “ take the bus/subway…,ride a bike, walk”
3. Use “How question” to talk about how to get to places.

“How question”中助动词的使用,特别是三单does的使用。
4、 Teaching procedures 教学过程
Step 1. Lead-in
Show a short movie about transportation and ask students to say out the words in it they heard.
Step 2. Learn new words
Learn new words together. (元音字母及组合的发音用红色字体呈现)
subway /'s bwe / train /tre n/ bus/b s/ bike/ba k/
car/kɑ:(r)/ boat/b t/ ship/ p/ taxi/'t ksi/
Step 3. Check new words in a game
Stand up and say the word as quickly as they can. I will show pictures of new words, and students stand up to say these words.
Step 4. Learn new verb phrases
“take the bus/subway…,ride a bike, walk”
Step 5. Chant
“ bus, bus, take the bus;
train, train, take the train

bike, bike, ride a bike”
Step 6. Finish 1a
match these verb phrases with the pictures
Step 7.Learn new sentence structures
In 1a the two boys are talking about their means to school by using “How do you get to school ”
Ask students to remember this sentence.
Step 8.Pair work
A: How do you get to school
B: I walk/ take the bus… to school.
Step 9. Learn the third person singular.
How does he/she get to school
He/She walks/takes the bus …to school.
Step 10.Practice and pair work
A: How do you get to school
B: I walk/ take the bus… to school.
C: How does he/she get to school
D: He/ She walks/ takes the bus … to school.
Step 11.Listen 1b
Listen and write down how these students get to school.
Step 12. Fill in the blank about the tapescript of 1b.
A: How ___Bob and Mary get to school
B: Bob ______the train and Mary_____ the subway.
A: How _____John get to school
B: He ______the bus.
A: How ___Paul and Yang Lan get to school
B: They_____. Look, there they are now!
Step 13. Listen and repeat 1b.
Ask students to repeat 1b and pay attention to the intonation and stress
Step 14. Group work
Make a conversation in a group with 4 students.
Talk about “Where will you go on weekends How do you get there What time do you and your friends get there ”
Step 15.Emotion sublimate情感升华
Walking or riding a bike is good exercise.
It’s good for our health and the environment(环境).
Try to walk or ride a bike every day.
