Step 1 Warm upand revision 1. Greetings.2. Watch a video: Ask：How many kinds of transportation can you hear 3.Check the homework. Look at the pictures and review the words and phrases in Section A. And how/how far/ how long questions。 Watch video arouse interest, to review the last lesson content, to warm up.
Step 2 Presentation 1.Look at the pictures, learn new words and phrases. T:Look at the picture. What’s it S1: It is a bus stop.T: Yes. And this is a bus station. Now look! What’s it S2: It’s a train station....(stop, think of, bus stop, bus station, train station, subway station)2.Work on 1a: T: Let's open our books at page 16, point out theblank line in front of each numbered phrase. (1) Match each phrase with a picture by writing the letter of the picture in the blank in front of the correct word. (2) Check the answers. 3. Guide the student to carry on the pair work and group work activities, complete the teaching task 1 b. (1)Ask two students to read the dialogue to the class.(2) Suppose you use two kinds of transportation to get to school. Tell your partner how you get to school. (3) Ss practice the conversations in pairs. (4) Let some pairs to act out their conversations. (5)Group work :SA...... SB.....SC......SD..... Use pictures to present new words and phrases.Students do pair work and group work .To help Ss use the target language in a different context.
Step 3 Practice I. Activity 1c 1. Ask different Ss to read each line to the class. 2. Play the tape for the Ss to listen and check the things Mary wants to know. 3. Get Ss finish the listening task then check the answers. II. Activity 1d 1. Listen again. How does Bob get to his grandparents' home Check 1 or 2. 2.
