patient 耐心的
patient可用作形容词,意为“有耐心的”,可作表语或定语。be patient with sb“对某人有耐心”;be patient of“对……有忍耐力”。impatient形容词,意为“没有耐心的”。例如:
She’s very patient with young children.她对幼儿特别有耐心。
He is patient of pain.他能忍受疼痛。
【拓展】1.表示“有耐心地做某事”,可使用be patient to do sth,此时的patient之后常使用enough加强语气。例如:
