通过观察这些教材中的句子,我们可以看到这三个单词:am, is和are。am, is和are是be动词的三种形式。本单元我们重点学习be动词的用法。
形式 适用的人称 缩写

通过表格可以看出:be动词的形式随主语的变化而变化,具体如下:
1.主语是第一人称单数I(我)时,be动词用am, I am可缩写为I’m。
I am/I’m a girl. 我是一个女孩。
2.主语是第三人称单数、单数可数名词或不可数名词时,be动词用is。he is, she is, it is和that is可分别缩写为he’s, she’s, it’s 和that’s, this is不可以缩写。
He is/He’s my teacher. 他是我的老师。
Her name is/Her name’s Jenny.
她的名字是詹妮。
注意:(1)be动词还可与其他词缩写,例如:what is=what’s, there is=there’s等。be动词也可与not缩写,例如:is not=isn’t, are not=aren’t。 am与not 不能缩写。
(2)句中有be动词时,变否定句时,在be动词后加not;变一般疑问句时,把be动词提到主语之前。
I am not in Class One. 我不在一班。

3.主语是you(we, they, she and I, these等)或复数可数名词(seven coats, many pencils等)时,be动词用are。
They are my friends. 他们是我的朋友。
我(I)是am, 你(you)是are, is连着他(he)她(she)它(it),单数is, 复数are, 不要混淆要牢记。
