一、教学目标:
1. 语言知识目标:
1) 复习本单元所学的动物的名称以及描述动物的形容词。
2) 能正确运用所学的相关知识描述动词,表达自己的喜好。
3)通过不同方式的练习来熟练表达自己的喜好及描述不同的动物。
2. 情感态度价值观目标:
动物和人类都生活在同一个地球上,动物是我们的朋友,我们应该与动物和谐相处,共同生存。
二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点:
1) 能根据相关提示词来描述动物的特性及来自哪里。
2)能运用自己所学的知识来描述一些自己喜欢的动物。
2. 教学难点:
运用自己所学的相关知识来介绍或描述某个动物。
3、教学过程
Step 1 lead in
Show the students a picture of a zoo,then talk about what animals they like.
Step 2 Pair work ( Self check 2)
1).Look at the picture,then ask and answer questions about the animals they like as following:
E.g A: Hi,Bob! What animals do you like B: I like koalas.
A: Why do you like koalas B: Because they’re cute.
A: Where are they from B:They are from Australia.
2).Get Ss to make their own conversations in pairs.
3).Show their pair work.
4).Review the target languages.
5).Pay attention to “ be from=come from 来自”
Step 3 Guessing Game
1). Describe some animals ,then get Ss to guess who it is.
2). Try to describe animals by themselves,get others to guess.
Step 4 Talk about preference (Self check 1)
1).Talk about the animals they like or dislike and why.
E.g I like...because they’re...
I don’t like ...because they’re...
2).Show their preference in groups.
3).Read their sentences one by one.
Step 5 Writing (Section B 3a)
1). Look at Section B 3a, Becky is Jill's favorite animal. Fill in the blanks with the words in the box.
2).Get them to finish in groups first,then check the answers together.
3).Talk about how to describe an animal ,give some information .
4). Ss try to write a short article about their favorite animal.
5). Let some Ss read their article to the class.
Step 6 Summary and reflection
1).Show some special pictures,get them to watch carefully.
2).Ask what they have learned from these pictures.
3).Call on people to protect animals.
