Step 1: Lead-in
Have a chant.
Step 2: Presentation
1. Show students to present one type of describing people’s looks (curly hair )
2. Present the new word (curly hair) and the target language through the pictures: What does he look like He has curly hair.
3. Get Ss to drill the sentences by asking and answering the question: What does he/she look like
4. Use almost the way above to present other types of describing people’s looks and make Ss drill the target language
Step 3: Consolidation
1. Ask the whole class to read the words and target language together
2. 1a Ask Ss to read the list of words, then match the words with the people in the picture.
3. 1b Listening: Can you find Amy’s friend
Step 4 Pair work.
1. Show a picture and ask the Ss to talk about the picture by using the following conversation:
A: What does your friend look like
B: She is ……/He is ……
2. Can you make riddles（谜语）of your teachers
A: What does your favorite teacher look like
B: He/She is … and … .
He/She has … hair. Who is he/she
A: Is he/she …
3. Pair work Listen to some songs and tell us who is the singer,
then describer the singer.
4. Ask Ss to make a model show.
Then ask several pairs to act their dialogues out in class.
