Step1 Review & Lead-in
Make a survey by asking and answering like:
T—What do you usually do on weekends
S—I usually do my homework..
T—What did you do last weekend
S—I played basketball with my friends.
Step2 Presentation
1.Teach and explain the words and phrases in 1a;
2.Read and try to remember the phrase;
3.Finish 1a;
4.Make sentences by using the phrases in 1a as following.
-- I went to the zoo last weekend.
-- He climbed a mountain with friends yesterday.
Assessment1:Check how many students can recite these phrases.
Step3 Listening
1. Go through the questions in 1a and the chart in 1c quickly.
2. Listen and answer the questions in 1b.
3. Listen again. What did Jane and Tony do on their last school trip Check Tony or Jane. Then check the answers.
Assessment2:Check if the students understand the conversations and the past tense.
Step4 Pair work
1. Ask and answer questions according to the order form.
2. Exercises. Do some exercises on the PPT.
Assessment3:Check if the students can grasp Simple Past Tense.
Step5 Practice
1. Learn to know the meanings of some adjectives on the PPT.
2. Make sure if these words describe good things or bad things.
3. Look at the questions on the PPT, think them over and try to answer them using the adjctives above.
4. Ask some students to present their answers in front of the class.
Assessment4:Check if the students can use the Simple Past Tense to talk about their past experience.
Step6 Summary
1.Sum up this period. Remind the students to use Simple Past Tense if they talkabout the past things.
2.Share some famous Chinese and English sayings about travel with students.
