一、教学目标：

1) 复习方位词及词组的表达方式。
2) 熟练掌握如下特殊疑问句，并能做出相应回答：
① Where do you live
② What is your favorite place in your neighborhood Why
③ How do you get there from your home
2. 情感态度价值观目标：
1)热爱自己的家乡、校园，尽力为他们做出最大的努力。
二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点：
1).there be 句型的一般疑问句及其肯定与否定回答，
2). 掌握如下句型：
① I enjoy playing Chinese chess with my grandpa.
② We sometimes watch the neighbor’s cats climbing the trees.
2. 教学难点：
1) 学会阐述某一场所各个建筑物之间的位置关系，并能利用地图向他人介绍自己所居住的社区。
三、教学过程
Ⅰ. Warming- up and revision
Do the duty report and check the homework.
Review some language points we have learned before.
Ⅱ. Presentation
Look at 3a. Ask the Ss look at the map of Cindy’s neighborhood and fill in the blanks. Then check the answers.
Ⅲ. Self Check 1
1. Have a competition:
Look at Self Check 1. See who will finish the passage with the words in the box at first.
Correct the answers: free, enjoy, climbing, spend.
2. Ask the Ss to find out difficulties in the passage, and then the teacher explains them.
a) My grandma makes the foods I like. 我奶奶做我喜欢吃的食物。本句中的I like 为后置定语从句，修饰先行词foods, 此句只要求学生理解即可。
b) We sometimes watch the neighbor’s cats climbing the trees.
观看某人正在做某事，watch somebody doing something 观看某人做事的全过程应为watch somebody do something.
Ⅳ. Writing
Look at 3b, ask the Ss to draw a map of your neighborhood and write about it with the help of the following sentences.
① Where do you live
② What is your favorite place in your neighborhood Why
③ How do you get there from your home
After writing it, show one possible version to them. Ask Ss to correct the answers in groups, choose the most excellent answers to read in class at last.
Ⅴ. Self Check 2
There are many beautiful places in our city, We should try our best to make them more and more beautiful. We should love our school.
Tell the Ss to write five sentences about your school using “there is /are, there are some trees in my school.”Show them the video, Then check and correct them in groups.
Ⅵ. Summary:
Summarize the language points.
