Teaching Aims
1. Knowledge Objects

Teaching Procedures
Step 1 Warming up
Greet the class as usual, let all the student stand up to review the words t stand up to review the words we have learnt. Follow the teacher.
Everybody moves your body
Nod your head and touch your face
Touch your nose and close your eyes
Touch your ears and clap your hands
Raise your arms and look at your back
Touch your stomach and tap(敲) your leg
Sit down !
Step 2 Presentation
T: Here are some accidents that some people had. Please match the accidents with the pictures.
Ask students to learn new words and phrases by asking and answering questions.
Step 3 Listening practice
Have students read the problems in 1b, then ask them to listen to the tape and find out what the two persons are talking about. Then play the tape a second time. This time, students choose the problems in they hear 1b.
Have students read the treatments in 1c. First, ask students to guess the treatment of each problem they hear. Then have them listen again and fill in the chart in 1b.
Step 4 Practice
First, have students read the conversation between the nurse and the teacher in 1d and tell them: “What happened?” is another way of saying “What's the matter?” Then, have them make up new conversations in pairs by using the information in 1b and 1c. The teacher walks around and gives them some help if they need.
Step 5 Role -play
Role –play a conversation. Use the information in 1b and 1c.
Ask some pairs to role play their conversations.
