课前导读
Content Analysis:
The activity theme of this module is "Report an ongoing event", and the target grammar structure is the passive voice of the present continuous tense. The rare wild animals are being poached on a large scale, and the species are on the verge of extinction. The rescue operation is underway. "Being" and "suffering" are exactly the meanings expressed in the passive voice of the present continuous tense.
Learning Objectives:
1. Learn the structure of the present continuous passive voice and its functions.
2. Learn to change the sentences with the present continuous tense into the sentences with the present continuous passive voice.
3. Learn to write sentences with the present continuous tense flexibly according to the context.
Activity Design:
The activity design of this module focuses on the theme of animal protection.
Activity 1: Let students find the present continuous passive voice in the sentence, initially perceive its form and function, and look for more sentences containing the present continuous passive voice in this unit.
Activity 2: Complete the sentences by selecting words, and guide the students to identify the meaning and function of the three language forms of the present progressive passive voice, the active voice and the present passive voice in a single sentence, and make preliminary use of them, paying attention to both language form and meaning comprehension.
Activity 3: This is a text filling activity. Students are required to fill in the blanks with the present continuous passive voice to make the text complete. This activity focuses on the present continuous passive voice. Students use different verbs to form the present continuous passive voice, repeatedly use the grammatical structure, and further understand and become familiar with its form, meaning and usage at a richer discourse level.
Activity 4: Let the students discuss what measures are being taken to protect animals and plants, put forward their own suggestions on animal and plant protection, and show them in the class. This activity requires students to pay attention to society, nature and teamwork.
Key points of Teaching:
Guide students to understand and correctly use the present continuous passive voice in the context.

Activity 1. Recognizing tenses
Ask students to observe the following three sentences and turn them into the active voice. Guide students to find the difference in form and meaning between the passive voice and the active voice in the present continuous tense.
1. African elephants are being hunted.
Hunters are hunting African elephants.

What are people doing to help them
3. What measures are being taken to help them
What measures are people taking to help them
Read and observe the sentences and sum up the meanings of the Present Continuous Passive Voice.

Activity 3. Learn the usage of the tense
用法讲解
1.表示此时此刻正在进行的被动动作。 The new plan is being discussed now.这个计划正在被讨论。
2.表示现阶段正在进行的被动动作,但该动作不一定此时此刻发生。
Several new roads are being built in Heze.菏泽有几条新的公路正在建设中。
3.表示一种经常的被动行为,常与 always,constantly等副词连用,往往带有夸奖、羡慕、埋怨、讨厌等感彩。

4.可与情态动词连用,表示说话者对正在发生的被动行为的推测。
