一、教学目标
1.语言知识目标:
通过对本课的学习,学生能够掌握以下知识:
1).重点词汇: curly,straight,tall,heavy,thin,medium height, medium build.
2).重点句型:—What does he/she look like
—He/She is really tall, and he/she has straight hair.
3).重点语法:①掌握描述人的外貌长相的单词 ②会简单地描述人物外貌
2.能力目标: 通过对本课的学习,学生学会询问并描述一个人的外貌。
3.情感价值观: 通过对本课的学习,学生学会描述周围的人物,互相了解,增进友谊;学会欣赏,懂得心灵美比外表美更重要;不要以貌取人(Don't judge a person by appearances.)
二、教学重难点
1、教学重点:掌握单词,熟练掌握描述人的外貌的句型
2、教学难点:掌握正确运用have动词和be动词来描述人物外貌的方法
三、教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in(5mins)
1.Daily greetings.
2.Show Ss the pictures of Yang Yang and Angelababy to lead in the lesson.
T:Is he hangsome Is she beautiful
Ss:Yes,he is.
T:Is she beautiful
Ss:Yes,she is.
T:Can you use more words to describe their looks Do you want to know more about how to describe people’s looks
Ss:Yes,we do.
T:Then today we’re going to learn a new lesson about how to describe people’s looks.Please turn to page 49.
Step 2 Presentation (10 mins)
1. Show Ss the pictures of some popular stars tom learn the new words. (curly,straight,tall,heavy,thin,medium height, medium build).
T:The whole class, please look at me.(指着自己的头发,问学生)What’s this
S:(头发)
T:How to say “头发”in English
S:(Hair)
T:Yes,that it !You are so smart. Please read after me “hair”
S: Hair, Hair...
T: What does “Hair” mean in Chinese
S:(头发)
T: Yes, very good! Now, let’s learn other new words. Please look at the pictures on the screen.(展示邓紫棋卷发的图片,问学生)Who is she
Ss:(She is Deng Ziqi)
T: Yes! She is Deng Ziqi .Look at her hair. What’s the feature of Deng Ziqi’s hair
S:(她的头发是卷的)
T: Excellent! Do you know how to say “卷的”in English
S:(Curly)
T:Yes,very good !Then how to say “卷发”in English

Learn the rest words using the same way. (straight,tall,heavy,thin,medium height, medium build.)
(2)Ss read the new words after the teacher and then read them one by one.
2.Look and say.
Ss look at the pictures shown on the screen and say out the sentences.
T: Here is a challenge for you. Please look at the picture and say out the sentences.(Show the first picture)What does she look like

Step 3 Listening(10 mins)
1.Before listening(3mins)
1)Work on 1a.
T: After learning the new words, let’s strike while the iron is hot. Please turn to P49,and look at 1a.

2)Ss read the dialogue in la.
T:Boys and girls, please pay attention to the dialogue in the picture. Read it out loudly together.
2.While listening(7 mins)
1)Play the record for the first time.
T:Now, let’s do some listening practice. Please look at 1b.I will play the record for three times, for the first time, do not write any words ,just listen. OK
2)Play the record for the second time.
T: Now, I will play the record for the second time. This time, you should listen to the materials carefully and fill in the blanks in the picture. Let’s go!
T:OK, after listening the record, can you find Amy’s friend
S:Yes.

T:So, what’s your answers I would like to ask some students to come to the front and write down their answers on the blackboard. Who wants to try

2. Summarize the key sentences.
