Step 1 Warm up and lead in The teacher asks students to show their differences from the first day till the ninth grade. Encourage them tell out the differences. Ask Ss what they fear about growing up. Ss tell the ages, heights, problems and so on to classmates in class. 以同学们自己不同年龄段的变化引出本单元成长话题并要求他们思考这些变化带来的后果以及激发学生思考今天的所学内容“认识世界的途径”。
Step2Discuss andtick 1. Show a video about growing up and encourage Ss to use their own words to say what they fear about the world and encourage them to explore the world. 2.Help students learn about the world by saying “ I like to learn about the world from/through...”. Ss talk about the ways they learn about the world. They discuss with their desk-mates and find out the reason for travelling. After discussion, they tick the most important ways they learn about the world then report it out. 学生在老师的引导下激活自己已有的知识,并激励学生从多种角度去思考用自己的语言来表达观点,从而促进语言的形成。
