Unit 4 Why don’t you talk to your parents
Period 1 (Section A 1a-2b)
一、教学目标：
1. 知识目标：
1)Vocabulary:
allow, allow sb to do sth, wrong, what’s wrong, get into a fight with sb.
2) Structures：
①能正确使用情态动词could, should 表达建议或劝告；
②能正确使用 Why don’t you … /Why not… 句型表达建议；
2. 技能目标：
1）能够运用所学知识询问、陈述自己或他人的困难和麻烦；
2）能针对别人的困境提出一些合理的解决办法和建议。
3. 情感态度：
1）培养学生良好的合作意识，鼓励学生大胆表达自己的想法和意愿。
2）正确认识生活中的一些困难，能采用正确的方式解决生活中的问题。
二、教学重难点
1) Talk about problems.
2) Give advice.
三、教学过程
Step 1 Revision.
Step 2 Lead-in
1)导入学生们平时在学校和生活中存在的问题。
2) Show some advice. (Structure: You should+ V…/ You could+ V…/Why don’t you + V… / Why not + V… )
Step 3 Speaking
1) Show some problems and give some advice.
2) Ask and answer.
Step 4 Listening
1) Work on1b
① T: Tell Ss to read the sentences in 1a again. Make sure they know the meaning of the sentences.
② Play the recording for the Ss to listen and circle the problems they hear in 1a.
③ Check the answers with the Ss.
2) Work on 2a&2b:
T: Peter had a fight with his best friend. Listen and fill in the blanks with could or should.
① Play the recording for the Ss to listen and write the words in the blanks.
② Check the answers.
③ Listen again and then write the letters (a-e) next to the advice in 2a.
④ Check the answers.
⑤ Fill in the blanks.
⑥ Check the answers.
⑦ Read some phrases together.
Step 4 Writing
1) Group work: Ask your classmates for advice, and then use the information to write a report.
2) Show some of the students’ reports to the class.
Step 5 Sum up
