Grammar Focus
1. 教学目标
1. 知识技能目标
要求学生掌握情态动词should的用法,当遇到问题和麻烦时,学会用“What should I/he/she do ”这个句型提问,并用“you/he/she should do…”来给出建议和意见。
2. 情感目标
通过用《朗读者》的方式作为这堂课的主线,在这节课中老师不单单是教师,更重要的是一名朗读者,给学生朗读一本书,通过书中的故事,谈论学生感兴趣的话题,练习如何运用所学的句型练习语法知识点。
2. 学情分析
八年级的学生有一定的英语基础,并对新鲜事物有着好奇之心,对当下流行的节目《朗读者》也比较熟悉,教师可以根据自己的教学内容安排,学生可以主动积极的发言,并且有一定的想象力和创造力,把一节本来枯燥的语法课上的活泼并且引人入胜。
3. 教学重、难点
1. Teaching important points (教学重点)
当遇到麻烦时,用含有“What should … do… ”这个句型提问,并能用情态动词“should”和“Why don’t … do…”来回答。
2. Teaching difficult points (教学难点)
能够综合运用所学知识来对情况进行分析,提建议,并完满解决问题,注意情态动词的用法。
4. 教学过程
活动1 【导入】运用教师变换角色导入,激发学生兴趣
Tell students “Today I’m not a teacher, I’m a reader. I want to read a book for you. In my book , there are some stories…” Students must be interested in the stories that the teacher will read.
【设计亮点】通过PPT做出翻书的动画形式,教师转换成读者的角色,准备给学生读自己书中的故事。
活动2 【故事一】 A father and a son
Showing the VCR of, read the story about the writer Mai Jia and his son, then ask students “What’s the matter with the father What should he do ” Ask students to give some advice as much as possible.
【设计亮点】央视一套《朗读者》节目中作家麦家讲述他和他儿子之间的故事感人肺腑,通过这段视频教学,给学生最直接呈现父亲和儿子之间的麻烦,让学生给这位父亲提建议,怎么样解决他们之间的麻烦,成为最有效的教学方法。
活动3 【故事二】 A husband and a wife
Showing a picture about a husband and a wife, and ask students “ Can you imagine what’s the matter with them?”And then Act out student’s dialogue, using “should” to give them some good suggestions.
【设计亮点】通过表演情景对话,让学生可以直观的参与讨论,并通过生动的表演,将夫妻之间的麻烦顺理成章的解决,将课堂推向高潮。
活动4【故事三】 A friend and his friends
Showing two pieces of videos, ask students“What happened to them ”In the videos, their friends give them some good advice, but now use “What’s your advice /What should they do ” to give some more advice.
【设计亮点】视频展示教学法是呈现知识最简单有效的方法之一,学生通过视频,能够更直观的理解及运用句型。
活动5 【辩论】 Should students go to after-school classes
Dividing students into two groups to have a debate competition, one is “students should go to after-school classes.” The other is “students shouldn’t go to after-school classes.” Five minutes to debate.
【设计亮点】运用辩论的形式让学生将枯燥的语法课呈现出激励活泼的效果,男女生为自己一方绞尽脑汁,极力争辩,效果极佳。
活动6 【游戏】 Lucky 3,2,1!
The winners from the debate can play this game, pick four of the winners to play. Here are four numbers, one of them is a lucky number. Others are some exercises about giving some advice. Let’s see who is lucky!
【设计亮点】幸运砸蛋游戏可以提高学生学习的兴趣,大家积极踊跃,都想中奖成为最幸运的。
