I: Warm up and lead in the troubles Greeting and ask students: would you like to enjoy a song Trouble Is a Friend Then ask students: what do you think of the song What do you think of troubles Greet with the teacher and enjoy the song.Talk about the song and troubles. Have a general idea of troubles or problems. 热场,活跃气氛,用视频播放歌曲,快速引入主题。初步探讨对烦恼的认知和想法,同时也为进入烦恼话题做铺垫。
II: Talk about our troubles or problems. We may have troubles in our daily life. Show the mind map of troubles.Tell students my own troubles and list some new words.Ask students: Can you tell us what your problems are Learn and read some new words. III:Talk about Wei Ming’s problems We have problems or troubles, so does our friend Wei Ming.Let students read and guess what problems Wei Ming will talk about. Read the problems quickly and guess the problems Wei Ming may have. 落实听力技巧,先熟悉文本,培养预测能力。 在预测时进一步巩固之前出现的生词。
IV: The first time for listening Play the listening for the first time. Ask students to do activity 1c. Check the problems you hear. Then ask students to check the answers. Listen carefully and check the problems Wei Ming has. Then check the answers. 训练学生听力能力,通过第一次听文本,完成较为简单的内容,增强学生学习英语信心。
V: Group work about giving advice:Who’s the best adviser Ask each four students to work in a group and make a conversation. Student A share your troubles with your group members and other 3 students try to give advice for student A. Let’s see who the best adviser is. Work in a group and make a conversation. Try to give good advice to help group members. 通过小组合作,既能练习口语,又能培养小组合作意识。
VI:The second time for listening You’re all good advisers. Would you like to listen to Alice’s advice Match Wei Ming’s problems with Alice’s advice. Do this activity on the big screen and match problems with Alice’s advice. 进一步培养学生的听力技巧,让学生先熟悉Alice 的建议内容,从而分解听力训练的难度。
VII: The third time for listening Since you have a general idea about Alice’s advice, please finish activity 1d on your books. Try to fill in the blanks. With the help of last step, students fill in the blanks about Alice’s advice. 听力练习安排从易到难,练习形式也多样化,有打钩,有配对,还有填空,学生更加掌握本篇听力内容,生词也得到了反复的运用,给建议和看法的技能也得到大大提升。
VIII: Pair work: Talk about Alice’s advice Do you like Alice’s advice Why or why not Let’s have a discussion about it. Discuss in a pair with the help of words and phrases from the screen. 通过讨论,学会分析和认真对待别人给出的意见和建议,并能给出合理的理由。
IX:Do a report: New ideas about troubles Now what do you think of troubles Are you still afraid of them Talk about it with your partner and then report. Take myself for example and offer some useful expressions. Tell partners new ideas about troubles. Then share it with all classmates. 对烦恼的新认知,与开头遥相呼应。既能培养独立思考,又能相互交流,同时还练习口语表达的能力。更学会了正确面对困境,最后在情感目标和价值观目标上得到了提升。
