1、教学内容分析
本单元的话题是谈论周末活动，功能是能够理解使用一般过去时态谈论过去发生的事情。 本节课是Section B2a-2b，是一节阅读课。本节课生词量大，其中重点生词18个（含动词过去式2个）、非重点生词4个、另外重点句型1个。学生通过阅读Lisa在印度遭遇蛇的故事进一步输入目标语言。巩固语言基础，开阔视野。同时又为下节课的写作活动做好铺垫。
二、教学目标
知识目标：
1. 能认读、理解下列词语：tent, up and down, scared, scary；
2. 能够认读、理解并运用以下词语或句型：special, finish, ago, put up, surprise, move, shout to..., jump, India, moon, wake(woke)... up, forest, so...that...。
能力目标：
1. 能够在一定的情境中猜测词义或理解运用词汇，从而加深对文章的理解；
2. 能够正确朗读课文；
3. 通过阅读语篇，能按时间顺序讲述过去的经历。
文化知识与情感态度目标：
1. 初步了解印度的蛇文化；
2. 勇于克服对困难或可怕事物的恐惧心理。
三、重难点分析
1. 重点：能够理解大量的生词从而促进对文章的理解。
2. 难点：能梳理故事顺序并复述课文。
四、教学过程
Step1 Warming-up (2 minutes )

Step 2 Pre-reading (3 minutes )
1. Share Lucy and her friends’ story.
Two months ago, they went camping in the forest. The air is so clean that they want to go. What did they do during the trip They put up tents, make fire to keep warm and cook food on. They slept in the tent. Suddenly , she got a terrible surprise. A snake came out at night. Lucy was so scared that she couldn’t move. Then she shouted to her friend. Her friend started to jump up and down in her tent .This woke the snake up and it moved into the forest. (用PPT展示图片，分享自己的一次惊险经历，图片或肢体语言呈现生词： snake，move，shout 。学生在故事中感知scary, scared, ago, so...that... 。)
2. T:Today we have a similar story about camping trip.
3. Ss look at the pictures and the title “A weekend to remember”, guess what the passage about is.
Step 3 While-reading (3 minutes )
1、Listening train:Listen to the tapes and fill in the blanks.

2. Careful reading (5 minutes )

They sat under the moon and told stories each other.
Ss read and find the answers by themselves, then they can work in groups to solve the difficulties if necessary. Ss share the answers in the whole class. The T praises the Ss who do it well.

1、two weeks ago “两星期前”，一段时间 + ago意为“多长时间之前”，是表达过去的时间。它常与一般过去时态连用。如：
三天前，我们参观了自然历史博物馆。
We visited the Natural History Museum three days ago.
2、I was so tired that I went to sleep early.
句中so ... that ... 的意思是“如此…… 以至于……”。如：
He is so young that he can’t look after himself.
他如此小以至于不能照顾自己。
【运用】将下面的句子翻译成英语。
他如此忙以至于没有吃午饭。
He was so busy that he didn’t have lunch.
3、. This woke the snake up and it moved into the forest near the lake.
wake up 唤醒; 后面可以跟名词或代词; 跟名词时可以放在wake up的后面或中间; 但是如果是跟代词的话应放于 wake up 的中间。如：
早上你常什么时候醒来？
When do you usually wake up
不要如此大声说话，你会将他们吵醒。
Don’t speak so loud. You’ll wake them up.
