Why is English useful for international communication One of the reasons is that many science books and papers are written in English. Scientists from different countries often learn English so that they can use it for international communication. English is truly a world language.

My name is Lily. My father is a teacher. His students love him a lot because he is funny.
I love him too, but I think he can be “foolish(笨的)”sometimes.
Once we moved house and had to go shopping to buy new chairs and lights. In the supermarket we saw many beautiful lights. I liked some of them and made my father buy them.
When we got home, my father began to work out how much money we had spent that day. Suddenly, he stopped. “Something’s wrong, ”he said. “I’ve got 300 yuan more than I should! ” “That’s great,” I said. “You can buy me that cartoon book I want. ”
