采用contest guessing 和 pairwork、 groupwork的学习策略，利用多媒体课件展开课堂的听说读写等活动，利用游戏来激情引趣。

通过音乐这一主题，培养学生的音乐欣赏能力，陶冶思想情操。通过课堂小组活动增强合作意识。

教学过程
Step1 Greeting and Warm up
Greet the students as usual.
(Pairwork) Students ask and answer to finish task 1a. Who is your favorite singer or musician Tell your partner why you like him or her.
Step2 Lead in
(Guessing game)Choose some of the singers or bands that students love to make a game. Play a guessing game to lead in today’s new lesson. Also, review the sentences that we learned in the last lesson. Help students enjoy the music and what kinds of music it is. While playing the game, teach the new words pop, rock,band. And explain the difficult sentences in the next listening practice.
Step3 Presentation
(Before listening) First help the students to read the information in 1b and 1c to low the difficulties of listening.
(While listening)1b Listen to a conversation between Alex and Dave. Write A for Alex and D for Dave next to each opinion.(listen twice)

Step4 Speaking
(Groupwork) Four students are in a group. Interview the other three and fill in the chant in 1d, then give a report.
1d Ask your friends what kind of music they listen to and why. How does the music make them feel
For example:

After that, let the students give their report in front of class.
Step5 Summary and Exercise
The teacher give a summary . Students finish the exercises, then ask some of them write the answers on the blackboard to check them.
