(1) watch the fashion show 观看时装表演；watch v. 观看，注视，看管。
英语中有不同的“看”：watch，look，see和read的用法与区别：
watch强调“专注地看”，有欣赏的意味，常用于看电视、球赛等。
e.g. Do you watch TV at night 你晚上看电视吗？
e.g. They watched a football game yesterday. 昨天他们看了一场足球赛。
辨 析
look指集中注意力地看，是有意的，强调“看”的动作。单独使用时，用来引起对方的注意；如果跟宾语，要和at连用。

你看了上个月的西单购物中心举办的时装秀吗？
e.g. Look, Tom is over there. 看，汤姆在那儿。
see 强调“看”的结果，意为“看见、看到”。
e.g. How much birds can you see in the tree 你能看见树上有多少只鸟吗？
read指”时，意为“阅读”，常用于看书、看报等。
e.g. I like reading at home. 我喜欢在家看书。

主句为he said，宾语从句为the fashion show was wonderful，中间省略了引导词that。
重点注意：宾语从句的时态必须与主句呼应。
(1) 当主句中谓语动词是一般现在时或一般将来时，从句中的谓语动词不受
主句谓语时态的影响，可以按需要使用的任何时态。
e.g. She says (that) she will leave a message on his desk.
她说她要在他的桌子上留个便条。
(2) 若主句是过去时，从句的谓语动词的时态要变成相应的过去时态，即：
一般现在时变为一般过去时；一般将来时变为过去将来时；现在进行
时变为过去进行时等。

(3) 当从句是客观事实、永恒真理时，时态不受主句的谓语动词时态的限
制，常用一般现在时。
