They usually eat dinner at a quarter to seven in the evening.
(2)When does Tom usually get up
He usually gets up at half past five.

1、学会谈论自己或他人的日常作息时间。2、学会如何表达时间。
Ⅲ、Emotion aims:
通过谈论自己和对方的作息时间,学会更加合理地安排自己的学习和课外活动时间,培养良好的作息习惯和守时习惯。

【教学难点】
用所学句型对自己或他人的作息时间进行描述。
【教学过程】
I、Leading-in and warming-up:
Play the video the song of time.
T: Today we’ll learn some knowledge about time.
Show teaching aims of today.
Ⅱ、Revision:
复习时间表达法(一)→顺读法。
Show the time and ask the students to express the time.
6:10→six ten
4:00 → four o’clock
22:15 → twenty-two fifteen
16:49 → sixteen forty-nine
14:09 →fourteen o nine
Ⅲ、Presentation:
1、Learn new words and expressions: half, past, quarter, homework, do(one’s)homework, run, clean, walk, take a walk
2、学习时间表达法(二)→逆读法:
11:10 → ten past eleven
9:30 →half past nine
7:20→twenty past seven
10:50 → ten to eleven
6:58 → two to seven
9:40 → twenty to ten
Pay attention :
6:15 →six fifteen 或fifteen past six 或a quarter past six
20:45 →twenty forty-five或fifteen to twenty-one或a quarter to twenty-one
Ⅳ、Practice:
1、Show different clocks and ask the students “What time is it ”.
Students answer “It’s......”.
2、Show some actions and the time that they take place. Ask the students to practise in pairs.
For example:
A: When do they dance
B: At 6:23.
Ⅴ、Activity 1a:
T:Please look at the pictures in 1a. What can you see
Ss:.....
T:Match the activities with the time of day.
Check the answers.
Explain the usage of “am” and “pm”.
Ⅵ、Listening:
1、The students read the activities in 1c. Play the tape. Listen and circle the activities the students hear. Ask some students to tell the answers, then check the answers. The teacher corrects the mistakes in time.
2、1d:
Listen to the tape again and write the times next to the activities the students circled in 1c.
Check the answers.
Ⅶ、Talking:
Ask the students to look at the pictures and talk about their daily routine,beginning with“I usually get up at seven o’clock.I exercise.....”.
The teacher corrects mistakes in time.
Ⅷ、Practice:
1、Fill in the blanks with proper preposition.
Check the answers and summary the difference among “at”,“in” and “on”.
2、Look at the pictures and make sentences.
Ⅸ、Summary:
