1、 教学目标:

1) 能掌握以下单词:visit, Canada, summer, sit, juice, soon, vacation, hard, Europe, mountain, country
2) 能掌握以下短语:have a great time doing, in Europe, by the pool, orange juice, on (a) vacation, be right for, write to sb.
3) 能掌握以下句型:
How’s it going
I’m having a great time visiting my aunt in Canada.
It’s right now, and I’m sitting by the pool and drinking orange juice.
Are you studying hard, or are you having fun
I want to call you but my phone isn’t working, so I’m writing to you.
2.情感态度价值观目标:
教育学生善于观察天气,善于调整自己的情绪;了解世界各地的天气情况,增加世界观念。无论在何地,把家人和朋友放心间,与他们分享快乐。

Part One: Greetings
Good morning, everyone. How are you today I’m well and I’m happy to see you again.
Part Two: Revision
T: Look, how’s the weather today
Ss: It’s sunny.
T: What are you doing now
Ss: We are having an English class.
T: Next let’s talk about the weather in the pictures.
(Ss ask and answer in pairs.)
A: How’s the weather in picture…
B: It’s … .
A: What is he/she doing / What are they doing
B: He/ She is… ./ They are… .
Part Three: Lead-in
Show a map of the world to introduce the pictures in 2a, and talk about them. Then read the new words and phrases together.
Part Three: Reading
Step 1: Matching task
Read the two postcards quickly and match them with in pictures in 2a. Then write a, b or c in the small boxes on the right.
Step 2: Finish the task of the first postcard
1. Fast reading: Read the first postcard and answer the following questions:
Q1: Where is Su Lin now
Q2: What is Su Lin studying there
Q3: How’s the weather there
2. Careful reading: Read the first postcard again and fill in the mind-map, then check the map.(Group work)
3. Retell Su Lin’s vacation: Retell the first postcard according to the mind-map.
Step 3: Finish the task of the second postcard
1. Fast reading: Read the second postcard and fill in the chart in 2c and check the answers together.
2. Careful reading: Read the second postcard again and fill in the mind-map, then check the map.(Group work)
3. Retell Dave’s vacation: Retell the second postcard according to Dave’s vacation .
Part Four: Writing
Step 1: Group work
1. Form a group of four and discuss how to write a postcard.
2. Show the result of the discussion.
3. T writes the result on the postcard on the blackboard.
Step 2: Write a postcard
1. Give each student a postcard and write a short passage on it.
2. Show Ss’ writings on the screen.
