Step 1 Revision.
T: In this unit, we have learned lots of names of places, prepositions and verb phrases. Now let’s review them. (Show some pictures on the screen).
Ask several students to come to the blackboard and write the words on the blackboard.

Step 2. Practice
Show some pictures on the screen and ask students to give the directions。
T:Excuse me, I’m new here. Could you tell me how to get to the bank/the supermarket/the bookstore/the hotel…
Ss: Yes. Go along Center Street .Turn left/right at the second crossing…You can’t miss it.

Ask students to listen to the recording and answer the following questions.

(3). How does she get there home
Tapescripts: I live in a village. There is a school near my house. I often go to the school on weekends because the school has the clean air and sunshine. I can play basketball with my friends there. To get to the school, I go along the road and turn left at the second crossing. The school is on the right.
(设计意图:3a文章结构毕竟以城市学生为对象，远离农村小孩生活环境实际，所以本听力原文以描述农村环境位置为主。为学生在接下来的写作中写下符合自身实际的文章打下良好基础。)
Step 4. While-writing activities
1. Write an outline
T: Look at the outline. Write a passage according to the outline details.
Give students 3-4 minutes. Then ask several students to write them on the blackboard.
（设计意图：通过引导学生自己阅读并获取表格中的有效信息，利用目标语言进行交流，为写作积累语言素材。教师在学生写作时，认真巡堂，及时对学困生进行写作指导。）
Step5. Post-writing activities
1. Ask other students to come to the blackboard and try their best to correct grammatical or spelling mistakes.
2.The teacher correct any mistakes with the students together and evaluate their passages.
(设计意图:学生作文在黑板上写好后，找几个成绩较好学生寻找语法及拼写错误。最后教师和学生一起总结,评出班级最好的作文,这不仅有利于发现学生的闪光点,激发学生的热情,更提高了学生的写作积极性)
