能力目标:会谈论问题,寻求帮助以及用“Why don’t you …; You should …; You could …”给出建议
情感态度价值观:反思和正确对待生活中常见的矛盾以及家长,同学朋友之间的沟通问题,形成乐观的生活态度。

关于征求和给予对方建议的表达用语。
教学难点:
与烦恼和建议相关的词汇以及阅读方法的训练。

教学过程:
Step 1: Talk and leading in
T:Today we’ll go on learning “Unit 4 Why don’t you talk to your parents ” In this lesson , we’ll learn 14 words and 1 phrase, learn to guess while reading, talk about problems and give proper advice . And live happily.
过渡:T:Are you ready
(Ss :Yes)
(学生对problem 和advice有了一定的接触,所以直接导入。口述目标,让学生有目的地进入本节课的学习。)
过渡: T: Now ,let’s play a game :The best memory (教师出示课件)
Step 2: Play a game : The best memory
T: Open your books to page 27. Look through 3a’s orders , two letters’ beginning and end for 30 seconds. (30 seconds later)
T: Close the books and answer the questions: (教师出示课件,学生回答):
1. Where do you usually see the letters
2. Who has problems
3. Who is giving advice
(练习学生浏览的阅读方法,激起学生的学习兴趣,初步了解课文大意。通过给小组赋分,调动学生的学习热情。)
过渡:T: You have the best memories, well done. Now , let’s look at the picture and guess “What’s Sad and Thirteen’s problem ”(教师出示课件)
Step 3:Study part of new words
T: What’s Sad and Thirteen’s problem
S1: I guess his parents often get into fights.
T:So you guess his parents often argue,…(教师板书:argue ,get on with , relation)How do you think he might feel when his parents are arguing
S: I think he will be worried.
T: I agree with you .I think he will be nervous.(教师板书:nervous)

(通过看图片回答问题,练习学生猜测的阅读策略及对已有知识的运用,在师生谈话的语境中,学习一部分难读难懂的生词,如communication , nervous等7个生词,使学生正确理解信件内容,获取信息,完成后续的填表任务。)
过渡:Now open your books to page 27, let’s read the first letter in silence ,check and answer.(教师出示课件)
Step 4: read in silence and answer:
1. What’s Sad and Thirteen’s problem
2. Does he like his parents fighting
3. Is his elder brother nice to him
4. Is he happy at home
(找一个学生读问题,带着问题有目的的读文。读后,找学生回答问题,并且追问How do you know 师生一起总结,完成表格任务,教师板书。最后分行分层读文,深刻理解文章内容,正确对待problem,形成乐观的生活态度。)
2.Read the second letter aloud and answer :(教师出示课件)
What’s Mr. Hunt’s advice
(提示学生注意Why don’t you … You should … You could …句型。读后,边回答问题边总结,完成表格,巩固谈论问题和给出建议的句型。培养学生分析,猜测,整理信息的能力。)
Step 5: Read carefully
T: Then read the rest of new words on the blackboard and guess the meanings : cloud , elder , instead , whatever , secondly , explain , clear .
Instead, he watches whatever he wants until late at night. (教师出示课件)
You should explain that you don’t mind him watching TV all the time. (教师出示课件)
(与学过单词有关的可以猜出读音和意思,instead和 explain在句子中进行猜测,练习学生结合上下文进行猜测的能力。)

Step 6: Find out questions
(此环节学生质疑,同学帮助,培养学生发现问题—提出问题—解决问题的能力,同时针对重点句型老师提出问题,即英译汉环节。)
