三、教学过程
Step 1 Revision
1. Daily greeting.
2.T: If you have stress, how do you lower your stress When I have working pressure , I like running after school . What activities do you and your classmates usually do after school Please talk to your partner ,then give me your answers.
Step 2 Lead—in
1.Read the sentences in 2a together
2.Do you want to have after-school lessons in your free time Well ,today we will talk about after-school classes .
Step 3 Reading
1.Skim reading (2b)
Read the article and answer the questions.
①What is the common problem for Chinese and American families
②Who gives their opinions about the problem
2.Guessing the meaning (2c)
When reading something for the first time , do not worry about the words you do not know .Use the context to help you guess the meaning .Now look at the words in bold in the article . Can you guess their meanings Try to match them with the meaning in 2c .
Please underline the sentences which contain the words in bold .
Check the students`answers.

Pronounce the new words aloud according to the phonetic symbols by yourselves , then check their pronunciation .
