In this unit, students learn to express preferences with the attributive clauses. Mostly they will talk about music. Music is a very popular topic among the students. It will arouse the children’s great interest. That will be very helpful to practice using the target language. All the students will make great progress in expressing preferences with the attributive clauses.

Ⅶ.Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 Warm up
1. Greetings.
2. Divide students into four groups. Each time a student win in class activity, the group will get one point.
Step 2 Lead-in
Play some pieces of modern music in the western world.
Step 3 Presentation
1. Teach 1a
First ask one student to read and translate the four sentences in 1a.
Then let students repeat the sentences after the recording.
Play a game. Divide students into four groups and give each group one minute to ask and answer questions: What kind of music do you like I like music that...
Then check the result together.
3. Teach 1b
Read the instruction to the class. And play the recording, students listen and check the kind of music Tony and Betty like.
Invite two students come to the front and play the recording again, ask them to listen and repeat.
4. Teach 1c
Ask students to repeat the conversation in 1c after the recording, then invite two students to perform the dialogue.
Step 4 Grammar Focus
1. Show some simple sentences and combine the sentences using the attributive clauses.
2. Conclude rules for the attributive clauses.
Step 5 Consolidation-two games
1. Choose a number that you like, and try to finish the tasks.
2. Who can say more sentences using I like …that /who according to the pictures
Step 6 Summary
In this class, we’ve learned a new key word prefer. Then we’ve learned how to express preferences by talking about music, using attributive clauses. Through the listening and speaking practice, we consolidated the target languages.
