Keeping Safe on the Street
Every year many people get hurt or lose their lives in traffic accidents. How can we keep safe when we are walking on the street First, we must obey the traffic rules. We can cross the street only when we see the green "walk" sign. Second, before we cross the street, we must stop and look both ways -look left, look right and look left again. Third, we must never play on the street. Last, it's good to help children and old people cross the street. All of us should be very careful when we are walking on the street.

（1）hurt 形容词，（身体上）受伤的，get hurt 受伤
每年许多人在交通事故中受伤或丧生。
e.g. Many people get hurt in the accident.
（2）hurt 作名词，意为“伤害，疼痛。”
e.g. He fell down from the tree and hurt himself.
lose 动词，失去，lose one’s life 丧生
e.g. He lost his life in the accident.

（1）before 连词；“在……之前” 引导时间状语从句;
before +名词/代词/doing sth. 用于强调时间或顺序，也可以引导时间状语从句
