There are many holidays and festivals in China. One of them is International Labor Day. It’s on May 1st. People enjoy a one-day holiday. They often go shopping or traveling.
The Dragon Boat Festival is on lunar May 5th. On this day, people have dragon boat races in many places and eat zongzi to remember Qu Yuan. People can enjoy a one-day holiday, too.
October 1st is National Day of the PRC. It is a very important holiday. All the people in the county celebrate the birthday of China on this day. In Beijing, many people go to Tian’anmen Square to watch the national flag go up.
1. one of +名词复数/复数人称代词宾格+谓语单数 表示“其中之一”
Examples:
其中一个女孩喜欢打篮球。
One of the girls likes playing basketball.
他们其中一个人得到了满分。
One of them gets full scores.
2. a one-day holiday/one day’s holiday
one-day是由“数词+连字符号 ‘-’+单数名词构成”的合成词，相当于一个形容词，修饰后面的名词。
我们将有一个三天的假期。
We will have a three-day holiday.
We will have three day’s holiday.
类似的用法还有表示年龄的时候。
如: 一个7岁的男孩 a five-year-old boy/a boy of five years old
她是个7岁的女孩。She is a seven-year-old girl./She is a girl of five years old.
3. watch的用法 ( see , hear 都有此用法)
watch sb. do sth. 看见某人常做某事
watch sb. doing sth. 看见某人（正在）做某事
e.g. 我们所有人在周一观看了升旗仪式。
We all watch the flag go up on Mondays.
我看见他昨天下午在打篮球。
I see him playing basketball tomorrow afternoon.
我每天早上都听到了鸟儿唱歌。
I hear the birds sing every morning.
辨析 watch，see，look和read
watch观看电视、比赛、球赛、表演等（尤指动态的）
你看了球赛了吗？Did you watch the football game？
see 看见（强调结果）
我刚刚看见你了。I saw you just now.
look 看，单独使用引起别人的注意，不跟宾语，若跟宾语必须要加at（强调动作）
