Maria: I want to go back to Cuba. My grandparents miss me very much. I hope to get together with them. My birthday is next month, I want to celebrate it with my family and old friends.
Jane: I’d like to visit some places of interest in China.

wish表示“希望,愿望”，既可以作动词，也可作名词。
(1)作动词时
①wish to do sth.希望做某事
e.g.每个人都希望过一个幸福的生活。
Everyone wishes to live a happy life.
②wish sb. to do sth.希望某人做某事
e.g.我希望你努力学习。
I wish you to study hard.
③wish sb.+名词 表示祝愿
e.g.我祝你生日快乐。
I wish you a happy birthday.
(2)作名词
①make a wish 许愿
②best wishes to you 最好的祝愿给你
3. I hope to get together with them.
我希望和他们聚聚。
hope“希望”，作动词。
(1) hope to do sth. 希望做某事。
e.g. 我希望暑假去参观长城。
I hope to visit the Great Wall on my holidays.
(1) hope+(that)从句
e.g.我希望你在聚会上玩得开心。
I hope that you will have a good time at the party.
注意：①没有hope sb. to do sth.的用法。只能是wish sb. to do sth.
e.g.我希望你和我一起购物。
I wish you to go shopping with me.
②hope to do 可与hope that 从句进行转化
e.g.他希望有朝一日能周游世界。
He hopes to travel around the world one day.
He hopes that he can travel around the world one day.

place of interest 意为“名胜古迹”。
e.g.中国有许多名胜古迹。
There are many places of interest in China.
interest 意为“兴趣”，是不可数名词。
have interest in sth. 对······感兴趣
=be insterested in sth.
e.g.他对英语感兴趣。
He has interest in English.
He is interested in English.
5. Each of you has a good plan for the holidays.你们每个人都有好的暑假计划。
each of 其后接名词复数或代词作主语时，谓语动词用单数; each of 相当于every one of
e.g. 现在，每个学生都有智能手机。
Now, each of the students has a smart phone.
Now, every one of the students has a smart photo.
each 还可做形容词，意为“每个”，其后接名词单数。谓语动词仍用单数。
e.g.现在，每个学生都有智能手机。
Now, each student has a smart phone.
注意：we /they each 作主语时，谓语动词用复数。
