households consisted of three generations. Old people were
respected. The social network they enjoyed protected them from the
pressure of the modern world. Because Roseto was a very closely-
knit community.

Recently, I listened to a radio show which highlighted an interesting story about the power of community spirit. It was about a small town in America called Roseto.
