教学目标
Teaching Goals
一、Knowledge Objects:
1、Key Vocabulary :
cross,river,village,villager,between,bridge,boat,ropeway,
afraid,dream
2、Key Structures:
cross the river, for many students, be like, between…and…, one 11-year-old boy, play with sb, come true, It's+adj+to do sth.
二、 Ability Objects:To improve students’reading ability.
三、 Moral Objects:
1、To enable students to cherish their hard-won chances to go to school and work hard.
2、To understand and help the people in trouble.
教学重难点
Key Points : To master the new words and expressions in this period.
Difficult Points : To understand the passage in 2b and improve students’reading ability.

Teaching Procedures
Step I Warming up
Greet the students as usual.
T: Good morning,class!
Ss: Good morning,Miss Yang!
T: How are you
Ss: I'm fine,thanks.And you
T: I'm fine,too.Thank you!
Step II Lead-in
T: Boys and girls! Do you like to play a game Now, let's play a guessing game.
Please listen to a song and then you should guess the name of the song.
T: Can you guess Who can tell me the name of the song
S: How do you go to school
T: In Unit 3 Section A, we've talked about the topic“How do you get to school ”Today we're going to learn Section B 2a-2c. We can get to school by bus,by car,by bike…or on foot. It is easy for us to get to school. But for some students in a small village, it is difficult. Let's enjoy a video.
Play the video for students to watch.
After watching the video, ask the students to answer the question.
T: How do they get to school
S: They get to school by “溜索,索道”.
T: Very good. Do you know the English for “溜索,索道”
T: Now let's learn some new words together.
【设计意图】利用歌曲和视频导入新课的目的是激发学生的学习兴趣,从而自然地过渡到新的教学内容。
Step III New words
Show some pictures and students learn the new words one by one.
Then read these words in groups of boys and girls.
【设计意图】通过图片教学新词,直观性强,创设了语言的学习环境,更利于学生的理解和巩固。
Step IV Activity 2a
Get the students to look at the picture and title below, and have them guess what the passage is about.
Ask a student to share his/her answer with the whole class.
【设计意图】通过浏览相关图片和文章标题,激发学生的学习兴趣,并引导学生预测阅读内容。同时,也运用了之前学过的阅读策略: The title and the picture can be helpful for you to understand a text.
Step V Activity 2b——Read and answer
Show the following questions on the screen and ask students to go through the questions. Then listen to the recording and write down the answers. Give them 2 or 3 minutes to finish this activity. They can discuss with their partners. Then invite some students to answer the questions one by one.
1. How do the students in the village go to school
2. Why do they go to school like this
3. Does the boy like his school Why
4. What is the villagers’ dream
Do you think their dream can come true Why or why not

Step VI Translation Practice ——小小翻译家
Show the key phrases in Chinese on the screen and get students to say them in English . Give them two minutes to finish this. Ask them to pay attention to the words in red. Then invite some students to give their answers. See who can do it most correctly and quickly.

Step VII Activity 2c —— Read and complete the sentences
Ask students to read the passage aloud together again. Then complete the sentences with words from the passage. Two minutes later, get five students to do this activity without looking at their books.
1. For the students in the village , it is to get to school.
2.They have to cross a very river between their school and the village.
3. They cannot go by boat because the river runs too .
4. It is not easy to cross the river on a ropeway, but the boy is not .
5.The students and villagers want to have a bridge. Can their dream come

Step VIII Group work
T: In this class, we have read a passage about how the students in a village get to school. What should we do after reading this passage Ask students to discuss in groups. At the same time, show some pictures to help them. Then ask several students to share their ideas.
