1．目标确立的依据：
根据学生目前的学习现状，阅读理解能力较弱，词汇量较少，处理和分析材料的能力较差。
2．教材分析：
本课时的阅读材料是关于小镇怪声的文章，通过快速阅读，精读提高自己的阅读能力，并完成相关的练习题。
3．学情分析：
在第一课时学生已经学习过情态动词表推测的用法，所以学生在理解文章上没有多大的问题，但学生的阅读理解能力一直都是弱项，本课时通过不同的阅读方法来提高阅读能力。
四．学习目标:
1. 语言知识目标：
1) 能够默写下列词汇： policeman, noise, wolf, happening, uneasy
2）阅读短文，能按要求获取相关的信息。
3）通过阅读训练来提高自己的阅读能力。
4) 学习运用情态动词表推测。
2. 情感态度价值观目标：
面对身边暂时不可解释的现象，根据已有证据进行合理推测。不信谣，不传谣。
五. 学习重难点:
1. 教学重点：
1) 默写本部分出现的生词和词组，达到熟练运用的目标。
2) 阅读短文，获得相关的信息。通过阅读练习，来提高阅读能力。
2. 教学难点：
1) 阅读短文，获得相关的信息的能力。
2) 学会运用所学的词汇及表达方式。
