第一课时
教学目标:
词汇:lyric prefer
句型:I like music that has great lyrics.
I love music that I can sing along with.
I like music that isn't too loud.
I like music that I can dance to.
能力目标:The students can express his or her preferences with the clause in English.
重点难点:"that" 引导的定语从句
教学过程:
Step1: Revision: Give the students some dictation about the new words and expressions.
Step2: Presentation
After having class, the teacher can say the following words:
Hello, every one. This class we will talk about our preference. First, please answer my questions:
(At this time, the teacher can ask some questions that they would like to listen.) For example,
Do you like playing football or Do you like listening to the music
(When the students answer these questions, the teacher can help them answer the question like this
Yes, I like playing football that is good for our health. Then let them answer the question like you. Of course, we can ask many questions and require them to answer.)
Step3: Practice
Because the students have known how to answer the same questions , so let them finish the following exercises:
Questions:
Do you like sandwich
Do you like shoes or hats
Do you like clothes or restaurant
Do you like the weather
Answers:
I like…….fortable to wear.
I like…… that…. really delicious.
I like ……that….. isn’t too hot.
I like ……that….aren’t too expensive.
If the students make some mistakes, the teacher can help them.
Step4: Presentation
Let the students look at 1a and finish the task, but the teacher must ask them to translate the sentence. Then ask several students to tell their own sentences.
Step5: Listening
Before listening, the teacher can let the students know the requirement. Then play the tape for the students to listen. This time they only listen, then play again and ask them to check the kinds of music Tony and Betty likes. At last, check the answer with the whole class.
Step6: Practice
First let two students read the conversation, then give the students five minutes and ask them to make the same dialogue. Finally, ask some students to act their conversations in front of the class.
